So my 30 days, 30 classics marathon has reached it’s conclusion. I can’t believe how quickly the last 30 days have passed by. I’ve been thrilled by film noir mysteries, enticed by stylish romances, I’ve laughed to bursting point at silent comedies and been disturbed by dark horror.
It’s hard to choose a favourite from these 30 classics but the top 5 have to include Rear Window, Roman Holiday, Rebecca, Jason & The Argonauts and Peeping Tom. But these are quickly followed by Through A Glass Darkly, Sabrina, Breathless, The Vikings and Buster Keaton’s Cops. I’ve been able to re-visit some old favourites and see some films that have long since been on my watch list. The trouble is, the more I’ve seen, the more my watch list has grown – with the works of Ingmar Bergman soaring to the top of my must see pile!
I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who have been reading, it’s been great to hear your thoughts on all of these movies. I’m hoping to do another classics marathon sometime in the new year so it would be great to hear your recommendations – drop me a comment and let me know which movies you think I should watch.
